China: Pingyao International Photography Festival (part 2)
Chinese Hat-Trick!
Pablo Lopez Luz has won a major award at the Pingyao International Photography Festival, China. This is the third time in as many years that an artist presented by Alasdair Foster at PIP has been selected for this prize.
He won the award for his series ‘Terrazo’ presented within CDC’s exhibition for PIP 2012, “Ouroboros: a Mexican Cycle”. Judging was undertaken by a panel of eminent Chinese and international photography experts.
Pablo Lopez Luz was presented with the Jin Hou Niao Zun trophy at a glittering televised event before an audience of Chinese and international VIPs. As well as the presentation of awards, the evening included a spectacular floor show spanning opera, ballet, rock and a futuristic laser performance.
